Day 1- Hanoi
Arrive at any time today. Airport pick up to hotel.
Day 2- Hanoi
After breakfast visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex containing the Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday), Ho Chi Minh’s former home and the One Pillar Pagoda followed by the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and the bustling Old Quarter. Cyclo ride through old quarter – stop at Koto for lunch, anestablishment created to provide homeless kids with hospitality skills and find them employment. B,L,D
Day 3 – Ha Long Bay
Drive to Ha Long Bay. Board a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise among hundreds of islets of Hal Long Bay, where you will enjoy a seafood lunchand a swim (weather permitting). Afternoon visit a grotto before dropping anchor for the night on Ha Long bay. B,L,D
Day 4 – Hanoi
Spend the morning cruising through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay and then getting back to the wharf before noon. Drive back to Hanoi, free time. B,LDay 5 – Hue
Drive to the airport for the flight to Hue. Transfer to hotel in Hue before site seeing. Drive to Hue through emerald-green paddy fields, visit the elegant Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank and the Imperial Citadel. B,DDay 6 - Hoi An
Afternoon transfer to Hoi An. Check in to hotel and then explore the ancient town of Hoi An. B
Day 7 - Hoi An Free day. B
Day 8 - Hoi An
Embark on a half-day walking tour of this quaint town visiting ancient merchants’ houses, a Hokkien temple, a 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market. In the afternoon, sunset cruise to Red Bridge for cooking class and dinner. B,DDay 9 - Ho Chi Minh
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, check in to the hotel then drive to the remarkable Cu Chi tunnels. During the war “Viet Cong” guerillas built the labyrinth of narrow tunnels using them to hide during bombing raids and stage surprise attacks. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-day city tour including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Binh Tay Market. Dinner at Bonsai Cruise. B,DDay 10 – Ho Chi Minh
Today a visit to the Mekong Delta. At My Tho take a boat cruise along the river and a short walk to visit a handicraft workshop with products made from thecoconut tree. Experience a horse-drawn cart to visit a local house where you can enjoy tea and tasting some tropical fruits grown in the region. Float on a
sampan through the narrow, tree-lined canals of the Mekong Delta. After lunch visit a family-run business making coconut candies before returning to My Tho mainland. Visit the Vinh Trang pagoda if time permits. Return to Ho Chi Minh City by late afternoon. B,L
Day 11 – Departure day
A transfer will collect you 3 hours before your departure flight. B
